Nancy Friday is a pioneer when it comes to feminist literature. Her best sellers such as My Secret Garden and Forbidden Flowers explore the ideals of womanhood and question the outdated boundaries that surround women still to this day. I found Women On Top in a charity shop one day and was excited to finally read one of her books. Women on top is a book written to give empowerment to all, it is erotic and enlightening. From a young age I noticed that it was taboo for women to discuss masturbation and porn unless we were talking about boys doing it as it was seen acceptable for the opposite sex to take part in a normal form of sexual expression.
